I have a somewhat complex vmware horizon deployment, and recently we had roughly all of our employees disconnected from the horizon environment. I am trying to understand what happened but hitting a wall. I am posting this here because I think it might be a load balancer issue.
Users authenticate to our environment with a load balanced workspace one access portal. The enter active directly credentials, select a machine, are tunneled through load balanced UAGs, which talk to load balanced connection brokers, and into their desktop. One of our two connection brokers was patched and rebooted (CBA), and as a result all of the desktops that were talking to CBA began connecting to CBB as you would expect. Then roughly two hours later, all of those machines disconnected.
What this feels like, is that something tried to reauth, or recheck, and once the desktop realized it was connected to a different connection broker, it dropped the connection.
