Here is our situation.
We are setting x-request-start header with date(0,ms) and in the backend we take the delta to decide how much time the request has spent in puma queue(rails webserver)
Occasionally we see an error. RequestExpired i.e (Request has spent more time 25000ms which is our timeout in the queue, until it arrived for processing. thats why its being dropped.) Queue time is calculated from delta of x-request-start to current time.
We have also setup request retries. I see succesful similar requests fail as well.
When haproxy retries, does it reevaluates the headers in our case (x-request-start date(0,ms)) or does it send the original timestamp.
